NGOReview Flights and Airports Roll-out!

As a plane geek, I've always been especially aware of inflight services and airport facilities whenever I travel.  Seeing rankings from airlines and airports raters, it may not always reflect my views, or often times there were discrepancies between what I experienced and what the particular organization was awarded for.  This is normal as each passenger's travel experience is based on the particular flight, service, and people (staff), while annual rankings represent an overall experience of accumulated audits.  Each passenger may have different opinions and expectations as to what is a good travel experience.  Now, don't get me wrong, annual rankings are still good as a source of maintaining and enhancing organizations’ service and operational quality.

While waiting for my HNL-ITO flight last month, I decided to commence a section to share my own reviews based on my own subjective opinion and experience, mixed in with some objectivity.  Not only there will be flight reviews, but there will also be airport reviews where it may be specific to a section of the airport, or the entire airport.  A score will be assigned with tailored explanation for the specific situation.  The beauty of the reviews is that they can be scalable based on the available services and happenings for that particular experience.  For example, if I am simply doing a transfer, where I don't have to go through another check-in, and I am only staying in the international portion of the terminal, why make a review that represents the entire airport?

Will there be regular reviews?  Not really, because I won't be able to create a review if I don't travel, and it does cost to travel (if you know what I mean).  Each review is for a specific flight sector or airport visit, so if I had 6 flights (e.g. connecting flights) for one trip, there may be 12 separate reviews on the 6 flight sectors and 6 different airport visits.  Or, I might decide not to review a particular sector.  Yes, very flexible!  One might say that I'm just a nobody, but I see myself as a valuable customer, and I know aviation.

With that said, I am extremely excited and passionate to announce that the first NGOReview Flights and Airports will roll-out tomorrow, 7 March 2013!  (Oh right, March 7th will also be when Bombardier will announce updates on the Cseries, and possibly a view of it!  So kind reminder, don't miss tomorrow's Cseries live webcast too, 10 am Montreal Local.)
